I think the Soccer OP is really cute and if I ever have a girl then the berry onesie would be perfect. My little Panda is happy when he has a bowl full of grapes!

I love the Bamboo Panda OP! What makes my little Panda happy is breastfeeding whenever she wants to! Unlimited access to her mommy!

I love the banner OP one piece shirt. What makes the 10 month old happy is a baby doll. She loves to carry a baby around the house. She also loves to look at books with baby faces in it. She will laugh and kiss the babies.

I love the cute berry one piece. Cutie pie panda bear! My happy panda adores crawling after our cats trying to get a quick touch of their soft fur. Too bad they outrun her crawling every time! The chase seems to be as much fun as actual kitty contact.

Oh the Mama Panda with her coffee is definately my favorite. What makes my boys happy? We go to the San Diego Zoo where there is an awesome Panda exhibit! One of the Mama Pandas there just had a baby, but she doesn’t drink coffee as far as I know… =)

i love the panda holding the bamboo! too cute. my panda’s no longer a baby, but a spry, long & lean toddler (for those who worry or those people who “kindly” comment on how our babies will stay “fat”, they won’t!!!). however, i’ll have a new, big baby in february and would love one of these!

All the Panda’s are very similar but I guess the Panda holding a heart is the cutest. I also like the hat. I can’t wait to see the dresses and sleepwear they are coming out with. My first little panda is average to skinny but my second panda is often mistaken for a 5 or 6 month old when she just turned 4 months today. My step-son however was 35 lbs at age one. These clothes would have been perfect for him. Too bad we don’t see him anymore :(Anyways Panda #1 loves to play with her baby dolls, feeding them, changing them, rocking them, etc..Panda #2 likes tugging on mom’s hair and “talking” to her sister.

I really really like just the Happy Panda T-shirt. So cute . . . and it kind of looks like my little guy. AND . . . what does he like? Hmmm - so many things - but he loves RUNNING and STRAWBERRIES and all ANIMALS! He’s very fun!

Being the Manny

Friday, August 31st, 2007

Since I left my job at the local Walgreens and became the nanny Manny of Rex (now officially a 1 year old) and Darrien (soon to be 7 years old) I have yet to have a day at work where I didn’t laugh.

I’ve learned mind-numbing amounts of information about children over the past few months, and have even come to the realization of what its like to indeed be a child once again. Being the Manny requires the ability to get into the mindset of a child, but still be able to be an authority figure and keep the rules in place. When it comes to watching over two young, growing boys you better be ready to play hard and eat a lot. I love food and physical activities though, so this job suits me quite well :). Over the past 5 months I have grown very fond of Darrien and Rex, and view them as temporary younger brothers that I never had & always wanted.

People say, “Oh.. you babysit?”, and to this I reply, “I’m a MANny. You see a desk or a register everyday when you go to work; I see the smile on two young faces when I walk in the door– A smile that says so much without them even having to speak. Nothing beats that, and you know it.”

The Manny

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

We would like to introduce you to our featured guest blogger Brent Burleigh, “The Manny” as we like to call him. He has been working for Happy Panda all year long and has hands on experience with children ranging in ages newborn to seven. Yes, he really has all the experiences of bottle feedings, burping, diaper changes, and everything else that comes with caring for babies. He’s a great addition to the Happy Panda family and he’s great with photoshop! He is working his way through college and we will hate to see him go when he leaves for Texas A&M - Whoop! Until then we will continue to enjoy working with him and watching him juggle all the children. We are sure that his opinions and tips will be a great addition to our site.

Happy Birthday Rex!

RJK 1st Birthday

Today is Rex’s very first birthday. What does that have to do with Happy Panda you ask? Well, not only is he a happy panda but he is our top model. Throughout our page you can find photos of him as he has grown over this past year.

And what a year it has been for Rex! Here are a few highlights.

We would like to thank Dr. Azim for giving Rex the right diagnosis (intestinal malrotation) and Dr. Bloss for performing the surgery to correct it. Rex was two months old when this surgery was performed. Rex has always been a big baby and this was hard to diagnose because he never lost any weight. We are happy to report that he has fully recovered and still maintains a healthy appetite.

On a Sunday morning in May, Rex’s father fed him a bagle with peanut butter on it. This was the morning the whole family found out (at the ER) that Rex has a peanut allergy. It’s amazing how many products he has to avoid because of this allergy.

Rex is such a joy to work with and keeps us all in grins and giggles. We would like to thank him for his patience during all of his photo shoots and garment changes and being a true inspiration for the Happy Panda brand. We would also like to report that he has been taking his first steps during this week. Happy 1st Birthday Rex from all of us at Happy Panda.
