Lesha wants to know, “What made you become a Manny?”
From the Manny: It was an opportunity I felt was too good to pass up. It offered more convenient hours for school, a FAR greater work enviroment, and the opportunity to get out of retail. Since I’ve become the Manny, I’ve learned things I never would have had a chance to learn if I was still stocking shelves or working the cash register at Walgreens. I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. Well maybe for $1,000,000… but then I could just invest my cash and try the Manny thing all over again. :p
Jenny asks, “What does it feel like from a man’s perspective to feed a baby or change a diaper especially as young as you are? What made you want to be a Manny instead of for instance, mastering the latest video game?
From the Manny: It’s a learning experience. I know I will be more prepared later on in life when its time to be the Dad. Video games become boring and repetitive with time, but children constantly change and force you to adapt. I think thats pretty good training for the future business world if you ask me.
Diane wants to know “Was it hard for you to change your first few diapers or did it come naturally?”
From the Manny: I’ll admit the first few were.. interesting to say the least, but after awhile I got the hang of it. I can now change a diaper in under a minute :).
Karla asks, “Can you share your thoughts/feelings about when your children were born?”
From the Manny:I’m sure the feeling is pretty indescribable when your child is born, but as of this day I have yet to experience it. I am merely the Manny of the children, not their father :). More of a big brother.
Laura Williams says, Now “The Manny” is a super cool title. What do your friends think about your title? Do they rib you or crack jokes?
From the Manny: At first a few of them did, until they realized how much they hated their retail jobs. (I left retail to be a Manny. Best choice EVER.) Now everyone views it as just another job, and I love what I do.
BJHBHB writes, “My question is this: How much would you charge to be a MANNY of 5 kids - ages newborn to 10? I live in Texas!”
From the Manny: Any chance you live by A&M College Station? lol :), but as of now my current rate is $5 per child per hour.
